Campaign

The project "Arigat-EU, the authentic deli meat from Europe" which started in September 2018, combines three consortia for the protection of PDO and PGI deli meats, co-funded by the European Union and aimed at the Japanese market. The campaign involves the promotion of these Italian delicatessen excellences: Mortadella Bologna PGI Salamini Italiani alla Cacciatora PDO, Zampone Modena PGI and Cotechino Modena PGI.

The three consortia, each involved in the safeguarding of quality and in the promotion of Italian deli meats, together plan to increase the level of knowledge and recognition of European quality labels and to promote the added value of the product, in terms of authenticity, safety, traceability, and labelling guaranteed by the European trademark protection and to enhance the competitiveness of Union agrifood products in the Japanese market.

The campaign involves a series of activities, structured over a three-year period, aimed at promote the quality and the traditional character these four products in the Japanese market.
